The narrow alley

We all have our own heart pounding moments in lives and it was one for Raghu. His whole company was relying on him and he was supposed to mediate, settle and finalize papers on things sitting on an another continent from where the actual amalgamation was taking place. But there was a catch; he still had to convince the other company on many clauses which were to be in favour to the company that he was working with but he was still not clear as of how a clarity would come in, in these last minutes. Whatever the reason maybe only one company would remain after this procedure.

All his colleagues were in Copenhagen finalising other deals and he was in New Delhi finishing of some parts of the deals which were vital to the whole procedure. He had one chance to construct an offer and present it to the company that was being taken over. With this takeover his name would be etched in gold in the Indian corporate sector and his company would become the parent company of atleast 31 foreign brands. Raghu was assigned the task of fully convincing a half hearted company who were finding it difficult in proposing new successors and which had a heavy portfolio who were in for a sell out to buy in his Indian companies favour; a proposal which seemed glim.

Sitting in the heart of the city in a plush villa with a Lutyens view balcony was not becoming fruitful for Raghu; he thought of going out to the old market for some inspiration. He went into have an adrak chai and suddenly he got a great idea and the takeover was successful and he lived happily ever after.

A lost civilization

My nation is a living breathing thing; its ancient relics, monuments, commerce, arts, literature and everything had a life and truth to it. They were not mere symbols or imaginations that artists flung but were inspired from our true nature and higher self; where are they now? I would say whole nations rests in wrong hands where people are fed lies promoting a degenerative conscience, the only question that arises in a critical situation like this is whether it is accidental or deliberate. On an individual plane when I look into my ancestry and maybe take three or four generations I feel moving away from what this nation was to total whims and fancies of some dumb halfwit dictator who envisioned something totally different other than what I would have been; my goals in life has changed along with my ethos and conscience from that of the history of this nation and what makes me sad is that my existence has been limited to a false doctrine where I have nothing solid to believe in as an absolute truth other than that of the philosophy on the reliability of money as an individual unit in the society. Now even the concept of money has changed drastically in the past when there was a deficiency of money and when before globalization kicked in people had a better hold on products now the whole market is under control of multinational giants and we are in position where they choose the products that we use; it’s like saying we have the money and they have the choice of giving the worth of our money.

Now this is a very vague comparison of a past and a present now is this the future that we want is a question which has no relevance as long as you are happy and really like many things these things might not be accessible to the common man and yet still remain as fables and tales but atleast you will hear truths.
